I have increasing complaints from overseas clients (especially Switzerland) that they cannot send faxes to my (Bangkok) office. I checked at this end - line and fax machine seem to be normal.

Meanwhile, the phone company in Zurich informed my client that Thailand has started quite recently to block incoming fax lines time-to-time to reduce the data transfer flow because there's too much data traffic!

If this is indeed true - its surely the right step towards becoming the telecom hub of the region.

I tried to fax a document to Mongolia last

year. Thirteen tries and still no go.

Thanks for the suggestion Paul. A few clients wont mind scanning their docs and sending them to Thailand via e-mail, while some just won't bother with the trouble!
