Wrong Turn
I just want to clarify: Have there been any changes in the "Farang can own his/her own Condo" rule. I am hearing "rumors" again - that there has been a change. Sorry to ask/post such a dumb questions. Question: Can a foreigner legally, fully own a Condo (if the BUILDING) is owned by majority Thai, or does the actual condo itself have to be owned 51% by a Thai? Thanks in advance, WT. No changes to Condo ownership .Its 51% of the Condo block to be owned by a thai .Then the farang can own his own Condo 100%. You still see condos for sale under company ownership .I would never buy one of those .
Mossfinn
This Thread might interest you, if not look through some of the others, they might help. Personally, I haven't heard of any changes recently. Moss
andy1308
I was speaking to the Sales and Marketing Manager of a company responsible for one of the new developments on Suk Soi 11 last week. She said the development is 60% sold but the 49% 'farang' allocation is completely sold. This was one of the high end developments so it shows who is buying right now. naka
Still the same ... only 49% can have foreign ownership. Note, that's 49% by area, not 49% of the number of condo's. Naka.
