I started a thread on this a while back Here.

What she finally decided to do was to try the short vocational courses at the Community Polytechnic (that may not be the official title) next to Crystal Springs House on Huay Keuw Road (opposite the Honda dealer, about midway between the Superhighway and Canal Rd). They offer quite a wide variety of subjects on a schedule that fits in with having a second job and the cost is next to nothing. Be warned though, she has to sign up well in advance as they seem very popular - my GF can't get on the hairdressing one until January and so she's doing cooking in the meantime and enjoying it a lot.

If she likes the hairdressing then I'll spring for the course at the school near Thapae Gate which seems to be well thought of. Seemed like a good way to test the water.
