Onward Ticket Requirement At Had Lek/koh Kong

Featured Replies

Do they ask for a ticket for a 30-day stamp at that particular border crossing?

TheCyclist, I only know of one travel company that I think still goes there twice a week.

I stopped in the office on Soi Post Office a while back and they weren't aware of any

onward ticket requrements but the other variables, the actual price of the visa and

then the surcharge for wanting to return to Thailand within the hour are not certain.

That's sort of the irony of going alone, you have to perform the negotiations yourself.

20$ is stamped on the Cambodian visa but they will ask for 1,000-1,200 baht and then

another 200-300 baht for the surcharge. Getting a bit extortionate I know. :o

YOu can also get a cambodian e-visa which saves the border haggling (at least on the cambo side):

Thanks cali.

I always get my Cambodian visa at their embassy in Bkk to avoid the haggling at the border.

And I stay a day or two in Koh Kong anyway.

will be in Pattaya next week and will stop by at the kochang travel agency on Soi post office to get the latest on the ticket requirement.

The "surcharge" is only if you want to come back the same day.
