This actually happened last week, and I am still laughing. My boss sent a birthday boquet to the husband of a business associate. The birthday boy's wife, who is a very dignified English lady, sent my boss an email thank you note for the flowers. The subject line of the note in size 24 font read:

DAVID'S GORGEOUS POSEY!!!!!

May I assume "posey" is some sort of slang for something other than flower?

According to the Oxford English dictionary 'posey' means "Affected, given to attitudinizing or pretentious". Posy means a bunch of flowers. I don't get it either.
