(IT industry, general manager position, medium sized company with headquarters abroad) Thank you Things to consider, similar to usual: kids' school fees, car + driver, flights home, tax equalistion (hit 30% at THB 1mio+, and 37% at 4mio+), low cost of living in your favour, accommodation, "hardship allowance", flights back home, fee for visas/work permits for you and family, club memberships, medical insurance/cover. All vary and may / may not be on the table according to your employer Personally in Thailand, I'd say take it for the experience not the package. Most important to me when I first came as a single guy, was a serviced apartment close to the office. BTW Not saying all the above are necessary, but if you're negotiating...
