Could anyone advise me how to mail a gold bracelet worth less than $1000 to the US securely? I did a search and couldn't find the answer. Thank you for your time.

I always use the post office upstairs in Tops, corner of 2nd Road/ Pattaya Klang. They will tell you the best way to send it, ie. UPS, DHL etc.

UPS, DHL, FedEx, I assume, can insure it.

I don't believe they will.

from DHL THAILAND website

DHL decides it cannot transport an item safely or legally (such items include but are not limited to: animals, bullion, currency, bearer form negotiable instruments, precious metals and stones, firearms, parts thereof and ammunition, human remains, pornography and illegal narcotics/drugs).

I believe FED EX and UPS are the same.......

Perhaps someone knows otherwise.

Good luck.

It is actually illegal to ship thai baht gold out of the country.Whether this is the case in practice,i dont know.

18k is ok.

Fedex is,i think the only large courier that would take jewelry.Or there are specialist couriers for jewelry that would be more secure.

that rings a bell thai gold baht is a no no via mail. check out usps website, they tell u wot is ok and wot is not ok.

Shipping gold by personal mail through the Thai PO or couriers is NOT allowed. ( legally )
