Hi

i am traveling to thailand at the end of december, for in fact 63days, i have a single entry tourist visa, and i wish to travel to peneng some time in january, if i leave the country then my single entry visa is finished, what do i do when i re enter stay after 2 or 3 days, should i get a re entry stamp before i leave. or just reenter the country on a free tourist 30 day visa, and hope to get a 7 day extenstion if it is needed, as i will be flying our of bangkok on the 29th february.

can some one please advise the best options.

A 30 day visa exempt entry is the way to go.

I would plan your trip to return with less than 30 days as visa exempt entry requires onward ticket in that time (although not likely to be checked). This would also save the extension of stay fee.
