November 23, 200718 yr I was wondering if anybody knows the laws regarding renting Condos. Im and asked for a "security" deposit of more value than actual monthly rent payment. Is this allowed? For example, rent is 10,000 and they want 13,000 for deposit.
November 23, 200718 yr A lot of places ask for a 2 or 3 month deposit. Maybe the extra here is for utilities in case you bail on your last months rent, or any minor damage that needs to be repaired.
