Consulate Opening Times 1st Week Of Dec

Featured Replies

Hi everybody.

Does anybody know if Dec 5 is the only day in the first week of December that the consulates/embassies (Penang, Pnomh Penh ...) are closed.

Or do they maybe close

... for the whole week or at least part of the week?

Anybody with reliable information?

Thanks a lot

Tom

(Something went wrong with message. So i completed it in a second one. Sorry.)

SRS, http://www.thaiembassy.org is the main portal. You can find websites to Vientiane, Phonm Penh,

and Kuala Lumpur. Look for the link, "working hours and holidays". DEC 5th is a biggie, I think the king's

80th b-day(also father's day). The other one that pops-up on the screen is DEC 3rd, Lao national day. :o

December 10 is also a Thai holiday ( Constitution Day )

Thanks for your answers.

Of course I checked out these websites before posting.

But there is no website for Penang and KL only shows the holidays in 2008. :o

I know about Dec 5 and Dec 10. So I guess for Malaysia these are the only days the consulates are closed.

But since it is the King's birthday I thought they might close for more than one day.

I just wanted to check out if someone of you guys knows more since "This is Thailand" and you never know.

By the way ... I guess working at a consulate is a great job. You get the holidays from two countries. And I am sure there is nobody working after 5pm.

Thanks

Tom
