I came across this link & thought I would post it, it is the link to the Birth to Five (2007 Edition) book that is given to all expectant mums in the UK by their midwife. It is a really useful resource that is updated yearly with all the most recent advice & help in looking after your child.

Although this is specifically related to the childcare practices in UK I am sure it would be useful for anyone of any nationality & especially our dads who post & often ask questions regarding their littlles ones developement.
