Would these be acceptable as proof of funds from outside Thailand ?

It's probably a better idea just to show a bank statement which normally indicate exactly where the money was withdrawen.

Yeah tell me about it, I'm sorting my stuff out now for an extension and just seen them all fading.

Tafia, yes I have used them as proof of income at Penang for the last 3 years obtaining a multi non o (married), also take bank statements from your own country that tally up with the ATM receipts.

They use the ATM receipts to check the statements are real, I was told at Nong Kai immigration either get your statements stamped by your embassy as authentic or bring ATM receipts. But as always in LOS its different where ever you go, always take more then you need I'd say :o

For my first one-year extension for retirement, based on pension income, I used the embassy statement (which doesn't prove enough), and statements from my bank showing the pension deposits and ATM withdrawals in Thailand. That was enough; they didn't ask for ATM receipts. The second year, they didn't even want to see any bank statements, just the embassy statement. That was in Chiang Mai.

1.Are printed statements from internet banking ok?

(They do show where the cash was withdrawn, though not the Nationwide Logo.)

2.On a visa based on marriage I understand you need to show a joint income of 40,000 per month. Can this be done solely on my pension based on the Embassy letter or are tax papers required.

3. If my wife doesnt earn the 40,000 so is unable to get the tax papers showing as much, how can I get over this using my income (pension) on the marriage visa?

4. What visa extension is the easiest to gain, Retirement based on embassy letter or Marriage to a Thai Citizen?

Thanks for any help in these questions.

1. They should be accepted but best are deposits into a local account passbook and bank letter of account balance/transfers.

2. If outside of Thailand funds and you have Embassy letter there should not be tax paperwork requirements.

3. You could find a way to fund such employment I am sure.

4. Retirement only requires local office immediate approval. Family requires active investigation of circumstances and approval at Hqs level.

Have you noticed that when using your ATM card buying goods or receipt for cash that your full card number is on it. Before we dispose of them we always score out the numbers. Just be careful.
