Dlink Router Replacement Aerial?

Featured Replies

Any ideas on where best to get a replacement? I did see an aerial last night in Big C mall in Phuket but it was a high range job and cost 1400bht which seems steep when all I want is the standard grey screw in job.......managed to lose mine when moving to Phuket from Krabi Town.....doh!

Cheers

It will be hard to find one... you could look for an older router and salvage the antenna off of it instead. There are 3-4 standard connector types on them; if you don't want to extend range with a better one this is likely to be your best bet.

Thanks very much for the offer. I cracked and bought one on Friday, 790 bhat for the same aerial I saw previously for 1390! Still your free one would have been better :o

Just try one of the shops in Central but the price you pay depends on it's range. Go for a Reverse SMA type 7dbi which will give good signal right down the garden. The standard antenna would not be more than 3dbi.

Please check posting dates - he got an antenna almost two years ago.
