Just got an email (in thai) saying the motor way will be free, no tolls during this time Dec 27 - 3 Jan 2008

It's free every year around that period.

Thought there had been a miracle and that the road was now free of roadworks and "obstacles'! Will I ever learn?

Bet all the Taxi and Limo drivers still ask for the toll money though...

If you keep in mind that we're in SE Asia suddenly the motorway starts looking pretty good. Compared to most countries in the region the road are great.
