December 13, 200718 yr OK bedlamites. Had a thought earlier. I am constantly going through life trying to "tick the box" of achievements during my life. Suppose it's down to my father dying at a very young age and i want to fill mine, as full as possible. I've ticked the box on many things including Parachuting, being in Musicals, visiting certain countries and places etc the list is pretty endless. More recently, an achievement i wanted to do, was to appear in Coronation Street yeah, yeah, i don't know why but i did. Anyway, i achieved it earlier this year and have appeared in it as an extra 4 times. Also appeared in Hollyoaks (some fit birds in that) and also an episode of the Royal. Am i weird in doing this, or have you guys and gals done the same? So, what things have you wanted to do, strange or otherwise and have successfully completed?
December 13, 200718 yr I might just have to watch corry... What episodes? You ain't achieved nuffink til you get to shag Angelina Jolie or Jessie Alba
December 13, 200718 yr Author Is your ultimate aim to have a beer in the Rovers Return ?.. Done it LK, tastes like cat's p1ss. Also had a coffee in the workshop that you can see at the end of the street. It's not really a workshop but is the dressing rooms for the cast. And had a bacon sandwich above Audrey's hairdressers, which is supposed to be Fizzies flat but it isn't really

You ain't achieved nuffink til you get to shag Angelina Jolie or Jessie Alba As a gentleman I refuse to divulge secrets on this thread, nor am I counting metaphorical notches on the bed (But some of us old timers have a lot to smile about and it ain't Alzheimers)
December 13, 200718 yr Author I might just have to watch corry... What episodes? A couple of months ago now. The main story line was Steve, Dev and Paul (dead factory owner) on the golf course and Paul tring to scam them. Come on Kayo you've done lots of things and travelled, share a few of the momentous one's with us. And LK, as an "old timer" there must be some memorable one's that a "gentleman" can share
December 13, 200718 yr I might just have to watch corry... What episodes? You ain't achieved nuffink til you get to shag Angelina Jolie or Jessie Alba Just heard Jessica Alba is a couple of months up the duff. (I bet someone will object to that term!) It's affected me in a way it's hard to describe. While I was never going to get there anyway, I feel she is now somehow inaccessable to me. Do others have these sort of idiot thoughts? (For the women think Brad Pitt.)
December 13, 200718 yr Rockstar DJ. Drug dealer. Businessman. Pro sound operator. Porn Star. Pilot. McDonalds Chef cum manager. Skiing Champion. Finished a marathon. Pool hall operator. Body Builder. Wank*er. Stamp Collector. Bullion Speculator. Project Manager. Debt Collector. Sound Engineer. Left school at 16. Two of the above are not true!
December 13, 200718 yr My tick box was mostly about doing every illegal drug possible when I was younger and getting laid a lot when I got older.

Bugger.

December 13, 200718 yr Once long ago when I was a long haired bearded hippy I urinated in the same urinal with the mayor of Seattle.....it was one of those long trough ones so it really wasn't as intimate as one might imagine. I also urinated along with Paul Butterfield of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band fame.....but we each had our own urinal. I survived a train wreck in Mexico....and I didn't urinate in my pants. I once while visiting a friend who lived in the boonies used his squat style out hole to take a dump.....I lowered my coverall and precisely shat in my back pocket.....didn't discover it until I went back inside and noticed the smell.......embarassing. Just some highlights, Chownah Edited December 13, 200718 yr by chownah

This is going to be a fun thread. HTF did you stop a rocket from launching? TL;DR: i fuc_ked up: read http://www.b3ta.com/newsletter/issue218/ (you may have to search my nick: phazey) The skinny: Used to work for a company that made liquid level & density measurement sensors - the job in question was for the Arianne - we made this fuel sensor that after assembly, had to be epoxied and cooked (read: this is the part you don't fuc_k up on) - SO....the cables were some 60m long, we had a warehouse that was shy of that, so me (being an 18yr old eager beaver) wedged the sensor and started running the cable......clipped it at the measured mark. Trouble was the cable was so heavy i ended up dragging the whole damm thing 10m without knowing. Ended up being 8m short and one spotty teen jobless. Le sigh
December 13, 200718 yr So its true then.... 500 Mil$ rocket built from five million high tolerance moving parts - all sold to the lowest bidder!

December 13, 200718 yr I'm with the bacon sarny. God I love Jessica Alba, but I have far more chance with the sarny.

(it's all downhill from now on) I must admit, i am finding it hard to muster up the will power to go on in life Oh yes, an additional tick in the box was when i joined the mile high club, think i was 23 with the ex-wife. It's about the fondest memory i have of her
December 13, 200718 yr Funny thread "Up the duff" had me rolling... [x] Appeared on "That's Incredible" [x] Was a national champion in athletics (throwing events) [x] Worked at the Olympics in 1984 [x] Part of a world-record team (largest board game) [x] Bungee-jumped (13x off a 50m crane in Pattaya) [x] Found a wife [x] Had kids [x] Sold a business [x] Got out of debt (well, for a few months anyhow) The only major goal I never achieved - actually competing in the Olympics. Goals remaining to be achieved [ ] Getting the kids out of the house and into the world successfully [ ] Building (and selling) another business [ ] Getting out of debt (permanently) [ ] Getting a personal masseuse [ ] Flying in Etihad's new First Class [ ] Getting a credit card with enough of a limit to actually buy something useful [ ] Getting approved for American Express' Platinum Card - then telling them where to shove it
December 13, 200718 yr Author Good luck on your remaining goals onethailand. This is probably the hardest and yet most rewarding [ ] Getting the kids out of the house and into the world successfully
December 13, 200718 yr Good luck on your remaining goals onethailand. This is probably the hardest and yet most rewarding [ ] Getting the kids out of the house and into the world successfully LOL... so far, other than keeping up with the school fees, it's been easy - the trick is to not help your kids at every opportunity. Much better to show them where the resources are, then leave it up to them. But then again, the two girls are entering their teenage years - so the worst could be just ahead. Thanks for your kind words.
December 14, 200718 yr Author Personally i'd like ti hear to George's and DR PP "tick's in the box" that could be interesting. Or do you think they never get out of the computer room?
December 15, 200718 yr [x] Moved abroad. [x] Wrote a product to take on competitors. [x] Gone solo / started a business (in it's infancy right now though). [x] Happily married. Short list - I'm still writing it Yet to develop an application which will change life, the universe and everything, and have kids. Give me a few weeks...
December 16, 200718 yr Author Won a drinking competition at that bar on soi 7. Got a free T shirt. Indeed, a most worthy achievement
