Renew B Visa & Work Permit 1st Year Just Finished Question

Hi

My B Visa Multi Entry, is up on 20 December. Got it in Boston USA last year December 2006 with new Thai Ltd co I have, a full 1 year, with a smile & took 5 minutes, very pleasant is Jean in Thai Consulate in Boston.

Anyway, I am not going to Europe or USA this Xmas.

Working with Sunbelt, but I am a little unclear on a few things I want to ask on here.

I am going to Kuala Lumpur (Sunbelt advise best one to go for me at the moment).

I am off next week to KL, however I am a little unclear do I have to stay for 2 nights or 3 nights to get all the paper work done?

For example if I fly out to Kuala Lumpur on Monday 17 December say morning, get to Thai Consulate (have to find address yet)mid afternoon, drop off my application, do I have to stay until say evening to Thursday 20 December, (allow for delays or hitches, at consulate), & fly back evening after office hours of Thursday 20th December?

So that is staying 3 nights Mon, Tues, Wed Night?

Or do you think I can cut it short & come back late on Wednesday night?

WORK PERMIT QUESTION.

Work permit is valid until 22 December. So again what do I do here, As I am away TBC 17 - 20 Dec.

Do I give Work Permit to Contact in Sunbelt before I go to KL, or when I come back on 20 Dec which is a Thursday, would I have to go to Sunbelt on Friday 21 December, to get work permit renewal in place, before 22 Dec expires?

What is work permit renewal fee anyway, slips my mind right now?

You submit application in morning only and pickup next workday afternoon at almost all Consulates in the area. Don't know work permit costs.

When you come back. Labor department will want a copy of the passport page with your new "Admitted until ..." stamp in order to determine the length of your WP-extension.

Great stuff, so looks like if I went out say Sunday night, dropped paper work off Monday morning, I could collect the documents on Tuesday afternoon, & fly out Tuesday night?

Sounds better dread these trips when I have to take time out of work!
