‘Down under’ still on top

The Country Brand Index (CBI) has placed Australia at number one position for the second consecutive year on Tuesday, announced the Australian government’s export agency.

The CBI is a survey of international consumer attitudes to products from a range of countries and is operated by London-based brand-strategy firm, FutureBrand.

Top accolades reflects the global positive attitude towards Australia and products from Australia; of course this should also equate to a positive vibe about Australia’s travel product.

“Australia’s ranking means our country is on ‘top of mind’ with consumers around the world,” said Tim Harcourt, Australia’s Chief Economist.

“Australia is considered the easiest country to do business with across the Asia Pacific. Our sound economy is widely admired globally and Australia’s regarded as a place that ‘works’ – a good place to travel and do business in,” he adds.

Australia was an overall top achiever also taking top ten accolades in 14 of the 23 categories including “Easiest To Do Business In and To Extend A Business Trip In”.

“Our friendliness, work ethic and service culture is also highly regarded,” commented Mr Harcourt.

I dont really know if this is the right forum for this....adding a comment on the bottom doesnt make it visa related....

But to answer the comment.....Thailand is condsidered High Risk as far as visa defaulters go...until that changes then I cant see it happening.

Referenced article in OP is not visa-related.

Referenced article is not Thailand-related, therefore this topic would not fit into “General topics”

Members’ opinions on why Thai nationals do not qualify for eVisa applications would most likely be idle speculation. If anybody has factual information about it and can cite official sources, feel free to start a new topic on it in this forum.
