astral
With a US licence you will probably have to take the written and driving tests. It is easier if you have a International permit. The required document details are shown here . Where you need to apply depends on where you live.
qwertyuiop
In my experience and possessing a US license I only had to submit to the colour blindness test no written or practical required. I needed photos, passport, wp, fee and proof of residence which i obtained at an exorbitant fee from the embassy. I have contrary to what i have read from others been asked to provide the same proof of residence for the renewal of the license. I stated that i had not changed my address from that which was on my license but was informed that as this address was different from that on my WP i would need the proof of residence letter. When I stated that the embassy charged me a substantial fee for this service I was informed that I could obtain this for free via the Thai bureaucracy
