Nice Little Touch From Jomtien Immigration

Did my 90 day report a few days ago, and noticed a new stamp - in red - on the tear-off portion of the 90 day report stapled inside my passport. First time I have seen it.

Said "Renewal for 1 year visa is due before xx/xx/xxxx" and the officer wrote in the date my currecnt one expired.

Nice touch I thought.

Suan Plu does the same, my latest tear-off report sheet says in red:

"This is not an extension of stay.

Please notify your address again on

 (stamped here:  1 March 2008)"

They've been doing this for over two years now.  FYI, I scan mine just to be sure to have a copy.

OP seems to have received an extra stamp reminding when he is due to apply for a new extension of stay.

Suan Plu does the same, my latest tear-off report sheet says in red:

"This is not an extension of stay.

Please notify your address again on

 (stamped here:  1 March 2008)"

Sorry if I did not make myself clear. They have always given the stamp you refer to; this is a new one reminding me when the renewal date for my visa is.

At Suan Plu they have been doing this for some time whenever the next 90 day report due date is after the expiration date of the current permit to stay extension.
