Youtube works fine here! Bkk

Running great here, too.... although I didn't find any Christmas message from Her Majesty the Queen.... unless the OP means Queen Elizabeth, which I didn't search for.

Yup, I meant QE2. Kind of a family tradition I brought with me from Canada. I still can't connect to YouTube here in Pattaya (I was last viewing vids a couple of days ago). Not really a problem, I read the text on-line but still, it's not the same thing. The published link (hope this okay with the mods) is http://www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel.

Yup, I cant reach it either, on my ToT connection. It just loads forever, then I either get " the connection was reset, The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

The strange thing is I can ping to www.youtube.com, and the ip adress. If I put in the IP adress in the browsers adress field, I get the same result ....nada. Same with links to youtube content on other web pages.

However if I connect with GPRS on my 1-2 call connection I get the page up immediately. Of course this is useless for video...

So it must be ToT messing up again...

CSLoxinfo has been having problems the last couple of days, at least in the Ekamai area. However, I believe the problem lies somewhere between CSLoxinfo and TOT.

True here at the office is fine.

It has actually never worked since I got the ToT connection a month or so ago.

I cant even access the website. Everything else works...

Still a no go for me. But as an experiment I set up an overseas transoparant proxy server with my browser, and the youtube page came right up :o

But as soon as I remove that, and apply either "direct connection to the internet" i.e no proxy in Firefox, it does not load at all and after a minute or so, I get the:

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

# The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

# If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

# If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I want to try it with ToT's official proxy servers but cant find the adress and port information anywhere....so if somebody can help it would be great!

By the way I am on ToT IPstar....and youtube is the only web page I have not been able to access...

Okay for three or four days now I have been trying to access youtube.com. I can get everywhere on the internet but there! I have changed my DNS servers and disabled any local software that by chance be affecting access. But no youtube! Anyone on TOT or True DSL having same problem?

More info, If I use TOT DNS server the return error can not resolve the address, and if I use OpenDNS the connection is reset meaning the ip/site is blocked. I know TOT uses a proxy to control internet access to the internet, did someone roll back the clock and add youtube.com to the not allowed list again?
