Selling 2nd Hand Quality Acoustic Guitars

Featured Replies

I have finally bitten the bullet and splashed out for the guitar I have wanted for years. A Martin D-28. However, that leaves me sitting here with 4 acoustics.

So does anyone know where I can sell my other acoustics, they are all good quality (A Martin, Ovation and a high end Takemine). All the guitar shops I have seen only sell new.

I will of course be advertising them on ThaiVisa!!

Ratchatewi BTS station, around the Hollywood street building. there are three shops there, one outside the building, and two inside. Plenty of used guitars, amps, etc. They have rare stuff you'll never find in normal chain stores like mesa preamps and original tubs screamers and such. They might buy from you or hold it in their space for a commission.

Wow a D28 so cool :D I always wanted a D28 but ended up with a D18, plus various Guilds and Yamaha's, as well as 5 string banjo's and mandolins, I can't bear to part with them, they become like old friends :o

I know how you feel. But I am in the UK for half the year and 4 acoustics is 2 too many for here. At home I have a 1952-3 Hofner President (same one as Johny Cash bought in the film Walk the Line). So at least two of them need to go but a quiet tear will be shed. However I am not going to try toooooo hard to sell :D

I have a feeling that 24 hours after buying the D 28 and having played it for 8 of them we are about to embark on a lifetimes love affair. I know its psychological but I feel I am playing better already!

Woohaa, that's a cool 2800 US$ instrument! Did you buy it over here or in the UK?

The shop downstairs in Fortune Town sells used guitars for people. Not sure how long they're going to be hanging there if you're asking a huge amount for them, could be quite a while.

Yes I bought it here. At the Martin dealers in Esplanade. Cost me the dollar equivalent of 2,300US. But since I intend to play it for the next 30 odd years it works out to a dollar and a half a week. Anyway that is how I am justifying it. My wife just looks at it and says, "Pang!!!!". :o

I like to see that 2800 US$ instrument. How it look like its an special Guitar compare to other guitars. Can you post the pictures of it.

I know Ratchatchewi quite well, but normally exit via the Asia Hotel. Whereabouts is the 'Hollywood street building'? I would like to check out these shops. Cheers!

Have you taken a walk up Atsadang Rd. yet to see if they would be able to take them?? I too would lie to know where the Hollywood St Bldg is, always walk there on the way to Pantip, apart from the store around the corner from there on the way up I have not seen any "group" of guitar stores there.
