As she was born in Thailand she is entitled to a Thai passport. I'd get that first. If your name appears as the father on the birth certificate then you are part of the way there with a British passport. I assume your wife lives with you in the UK and has indefinate right to remain?

Get the birth certificate translated by a proper agency who can stamp its correctness (if that's a word). It's a good idea to the get the Thai one first, as then you're not lying about not having another passport. We did NOT get the birth registered, which costs a fair chunk more, and have had no need to regret that decision. Our daughter's been back to the UK three times on her passport. Good luck and get it done quick, as they won't be getting any cheaper.

Its a formality and can be done through the post with the British Embassy in Bangkok. You first need a British birth certificate, but can apply for a passport at the same time

However, do it within 1 year of the birth, otherwise you may need to prove paternity.

Docs as others have suggested.

Have a look at the Br Embassy website
