We will be heading back to Thailand this summer/fall and was just looking to see if anyone has some places where they get good tic prices. Besides the usual priceline, cheap tics, etc. Last time we got them from a place called That Tics, I believe. They had people at Dulles airport in D.C. and they were the cheapest at that time, about $1000 per w/tax. Leaving and return days don't really matter, any day is ok if the price is better. But I don't want to go via London, Germany, I want to go via Narita-Bkk. Just wondered if anyone has any secret sources we could tap.... :o

thx.....

Not in your part of the world, gamps, sorry.

My cheapest trips are using Royal Brunei from NZ.

One prob, the planes are DRY....... snifffff.

Unfortunately we do not have bucket shops here.

Hi Gamps,

Last trip, June 07, was $NZ1099.00 + $NZ25.00 Airport tax...... total.

Thai from here $NZ1199.00 + 25 bucks tax.

Had to stop over, approx 60 mins in Brisbane, and 90 mins in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. I shoulda hadda cupla days there, maybe next time.

Phantom country, home of the Bandar people....... PMPL.

One of my reasons for using Royal Brunei was the ability to change my date of return for free, once in Thailand. I was expecting to.

Which I did, happily stayed nutha 2 months.......LOL... 3 months in total.

I always do many trips from Bangers with Air Asia, best deals around. take my Lil Thai gal, interpreter etc.......LOL, ETC ... Yaaaay.

Trips with Air Asia, outta KLLCC airport, unbeatable, costwise.

Auckland - Kuala Lumpur fare $NZ1699.00, why I base myself in Thailand, apart from being my fave place abroad for broads...... oooooooops.

If ya wanna fly around, in or outta LOS, ya oughta check out.......

Join up, I did years ago, get reg offers, I had $0.00 offer for going to Hanoi, just pay a/port tax and fuel woteva, bugga not unable to use it. Was at home. Many of the real cheapies are late nite or early morning flights, sooo, neva care.

Good luck Gamps.

That price seems about close to what we pay from here. Time never mattered to me but it is always midnight when we arrive and take off from BKK. I'll check out Air Asia for sure. I've had a flight on Thai Air which was fine, and maybe even AA once when I went thru Hong Kong I think. Korean Air I had once and I would avoid that if at all possible again. (Khon men kee) as my wife would say... :o
