Whats on the list of things to do for children's day?

Recommendations for avoiding the crowds??

Heard something about a motorcycle convoy donating teddy bears to needy children at a school somewhere in CM

Check out North Comets for details I guess.

Nothing much by way of 'entertainment' though out of respect to HRH.

I believe that the army barracks over by Gymkhana have something on for the day - not sure if it's just an open day or something more. Sorry not to be more helpful but will be swinging by myself, with clan in tow, on the off chance tomorrow.

The Chiang Mai ToyRide and Give and Live will be giving out toys to 200 girls at the Viengping Children's Home from 3-5pm. If the reaction from the children is anything like the reaction last week it will be a heartwarming and fun event. There will also be a free ice cream truck (for the children), drinks, clown, thumb wrestling event for prizes.

All are welcome to attend.

Directions

Vieng Ping orphanage is on Mae Rim Road(107) just north of City Hall and the Nakon PingHospital on the left with a tile fence and a greensign. It may say Home for Boys as well as Vieng Ping. The Girl's Home is in the back of the compound beyondthe athletic field, towards Canal Road, which is wherewe'll be. There's also a pink sign on Canal Roadthat's probably all in Thai which goes more directlyto the Girls Home, but definitely easier to find theentrance on Mae Rim Road.
