Can anyone recommend a good hotel on White Sands beach, preferably on or very near the beach itself?

Looking to pay about 2,000 - 2,500 Baht in early April (but before Songkran), ideally not too much more, but could be interested in any bargains for a few hundred Baht less.

Have a look at www.topresort-kohchang.com, I booked our holidays in March there either. Nice resort at reasonable prices, about 4 years old with pool.

Price from 1590 Baht to 3110 Baht.

Alina & Alina Grande are both pretty good value. Big AC room for under 2000 baht/night. Has a pool. On the beach at the southern end of White Sand Beach

Banthai resort and restaurant – it’s a small boutique kind of place. Stayed there a few years ago and then again a few months ago. Owner told me that he was aiming to spruce it up (Best Check) before this year's high season if that’s the case it might suit your needs for around the 2k mark.

The Wife and I like the Chang Buri Resort. Here's their website http://www.changburi.com/ although I always book through an on line hotel agent i.e. asiarooms, planetholiday etc.

Anyone tried the Plaloma Cliff ? It looks good.
