No Work Permit

Featured Replies

Hi. For the last 2.5 years my husband and I have been operating an Internet shop in his village. Well if someone asked, only my husband runs the show and I'm just a housewife. I'm applying for a job with an Australian company and it would be highly advantageous to talk about the experience I have with computers, technology, etc but due to having no work permit because technically I don't work, could this cause problems for me? Thanks.

BTW have a Non-O if that's of any significance.

Why can't you discuss your personal (as opposed to work related) experience?

Thinking about the multiple workstations and continuous maintenance and troubleshooting involved with a business rather than individual use.

Putting it on a resume might be more of a potential problem than talking about it; but doubt either would cause you a problem. History is history.
