Titv Gone?

Featured Replies

Hello.

At 0:10 tonight TiTV ceased broadcasting - aparently the company is "bankrupt" or something, it's suddenly all over thai TV. Only a "test image" where TiTV used to be (UBC).

Anyone knows what's really going on?

Best regards.....

Thanh

At around 9pm Monday 14th of January, TITV got an order from the public relations department (I tink) to cease broadcasting at midnight. The reason given was to comply with some old decree. It's just politics.

It has become a public broadcasting station but appears new management is not yet in place to keep it functioning. According to Bangkok Post today it should be broadcasting continuous non commercial media.

Hi :o

Yeah so it does. It shows a lot of stuff about King's sister etc, but no news, soaps or anything. In fact it was back "on air" at 0:25 last night, so the actual time off air was about 15 minutes only, i was just too lazy to start the computer again and post the reply here :D

Best regards....

Thanh
