Need Advice For Kuala Lumpur

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm planning to go to KL next week for making a new visa, have a work permit.

Do they get me a one year visa there? What are their actual requirements now.

Need some advice for hotels and places for having some "fun"............ :o

Thank you,

Gerd

As you already have your work permit, you can apply for a single entry Non Immigrant B visa.

This will allow you to enter Thailand for 90 days initially.

You can then go to the Labour Dept who will extend you Work Permit for a whole year.

Then back to Immigration who will extend your visa for a year to match your work permit.

Don't forget a re-entry visa if you plan to leave Thailand after your visa is all sorted out.

You still need to report your address to Immigration every 90 days as well.

You can then go to the Labour Dept who will extend you Work Permit for a whole year.

Then back to Immigration who will extend your visa for a year to match your work permit.

astral,

isn't it true that the labour department will 'approve' the WP for one year but 'validate' it only up to the expiry date of the current entry stamp?

once the one year WP approval is given one has to go to IMM and get the one year temporary stay extension. with this extension its back to Labour department to get the WP validated to match the date in the PP.
