How To Send Someone A 85 Mb Movie File.....*******

Featured Replies

I have an 85MB movie file that I want to send to someone over the internet. Email has a limit, so can I upload it to a site and leave it there for viewing anywhere?

Any ideas advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Have your friend install and configure an FTP server such as the free Filezilla and if necessary configure his router to open a port to his machine. Use an FTP client such as the free Filezilla client to access his server immediately after he/she tells you his/her current IP address. To find the IP address, your friend can access http://www.whatismyip.com/ among other sites.

and one that I use is www.updownloading.com, up to 1GB upload, and no waiting time or anything, just download right away :o

Best regards...

Thanks to all for excellent advice/reply message. I think I am now on the right path.

If you and the other have messenger service, just drop it in the share folder and forget it.  The folders will sync and it will tell ya when its done. You don't have to stay online and they don't it just works in the back ground when it can until its done.  I have sent tons of stuff to my Mom and others as well as received.  No hassle at all.  Takes less time then this post did.

Just chiming in - I have used Send6.com in the past, worked just fine.

Or rapidshare ... no need to open an account. Just upload and give the URL to the recipient.
