Fake Iphones Are Here !

Featured Replies

Here is a classic tale of farang ripping off farang again,.this is pattaya, a friend of mine calls me ,he knows i have an ipod and cant wait to tell me he has just bought one off an ENGLISH PUB LANDLORD!,.without hearing another word i was thinking uh oh,.then he tells me its better than mine as it can take 2 sim cards , WRONG!,now i know there is a problem, so off i go to see him, it gets worse,. he is 62 and not very good with electronics ( which you will have noticed ),so it seems hes paid 17000 baht for an apple iphone copy, also while he has his wallet open the landlord releives him of another 10k for a fake sony camera,,,so off we go to my place to do some googling/ebaying, well, the phone is a pda Desay, 50 pounds worth !, the camera isnt on ebay but id Value it as worthless, it weights as much as an empty cigarette packet,.now i feel sorry for my friend HOWEVER ,as i told him when he first came here EVERYONE is out to get your money and if something seems too good to be true it usually is, this pub landlord iit seems took a weekend off to go to hong kong and load up with this fake <deleted> to rip off unsuspecting punters, this particular english pub ( i never visit them :o ) is on the corner of sio bakeow and another road near soi diana, hes going back to see if he can get his money back ,as admiral nelson once said " i may be a while " ( i do not know the lady in the pic, she is another victim )apple_iphone_fake.jpg

I bought a MP4 player on ebay a while back. Was supposed to be 4 gigs. But it was a copy that had software in it that tricks you PC into thinking it has a bigger memory.

Its a minefield isnt ? ,.

Fake Apple iPods abound.

I guess the moral of the story is don't buy electronics from some bloke at the pub (in any country).

With respect, anyone daft enough to spend a heap of money on a sophisticated electronic product without doing enough background research to see that a fake is a fake deserves to get ripped off. The one in the picture looks nothing like an iPhone to anyone with more than half a brain.

I've seen these fake ipods and fake iphones at Silk Road Market in Beijing. They are so obviously fakes it's not funny. Apple isnt even bothering to pursue the companies making them because even they can't believe people are so gullible.

Caveat emptor.

The fake IPODs are easy to spot, the fake ones have a volume button on it, the real ones dont and its volume is operated by a touch dial which you just put your finger on the circle and go clockways and anti clockways to adjust the volume.

I am not sure hoe to spot the difference in the Iphones though, does anyone know what to look for as i nearly bought one in MBK last week

Cravat empty? what, my cravat is a bit empty? This is not Harry Potter you know, please speak english on this forum mate.

And speaking of which, I just happen to have a small pencil i-pen, which as some of you may know is the latest technology from Apple. Be the envy of all your friends at Resort and Orbit, or if you aren't really hiso then Grace Hotel. It writes, it erases, a marvel of the 21st century.

PM me for details.

Most of the IPhones at MBK AFAIK are grey market imports; technically illegal and quite likely to incur some sort of hack disable like what Apple did to many of the other units a few months back in the USA and abroad. If it sounds too good to be true, and it is an Iphone, then it probably is too good to be true, and therefore not true.

Unless it is true, like my I-Pen.

Everything cool these days starts with I.

I-Steve.

I-Legend.

I-jungleuy.

I-oning my shirts before work.

I-spy with my little eye, someone beginning with Tangm_????

...is on the corner of sio bakeow and another road near soi diana...

Post the name of the pub or PM it to me. Need to spread the word about con men.

Thanks,
