The site you’re on now asking the question makes a great deal of money on the internet. Just look around at all the advertisements; these are not being done for free.

All you need to do is start a site and make it very popular where thousands of people come everyday to you site and you will make money. It sounds easy, but there is a lot of competition and you need something unique and you also usually need to be the first one to do it. And then hope somebody does not come along and like your idea and do it better than you.

The Google ads at the top are 'pay per click', and will pay a small amount each and everytime somebody clicks on one. The larger banner ads could be affilliates who will pay a percentage each time somebody makes a purchase, or could be paying a flat rate to have their ads displayed.

Google ads, amazon, bidvertiser etc will need some seriously big numbers to make a living from, as the average earnings are a few US cents per click.

Don't forget about the 'pay per view'. That can be very lucrative when you have a busy website.

The most common avenues for deriving income from an internet based business or activities, just off the top of my head :

Advertising revenue ie: this site

Partner programs ie: money for clicks (Google ad-words)

Selling products ie:Amazon

Membership revenue ie: porn sites, dating sites etc..

Trading goods ie: Ebay

Yes; I don't live in US anymore, but still have a bank account with a USA (parents) address listed, so was able to sign up.

(I doubt i'd be able to borrow through it though as you need 2 verifiable US phone #s in order to borrow $)

This is a similar online money lending site to Prosper but can join from UK, Italy or USA addresses. If you join with this link you get 30GBP when you lend or borrow 500GBP, and I do too!

Another web money maker I use is my search funds, use it for web searches and they split the advertising revenue with you 50/50, typically you get between 3 and 4 pence per search, I even use it to navigate to pages I already have bookmarked. It aint gonna make you rich just something for nothing. Again I make a cut if you follow my link but if you don't want to do that just do a search and find it yourself.
