Just as an academic question, aside from being economically devastating to Americans, do any economics minded people have opinions on what this event would mean to Thailand, Europe, etc.?

Applying a little science "fiction", we might imagine Chinese from Shanghai applying for retirement visas in America to take advantage of the weak American currency, low prices, houses for sale for pennies on the dollar, and free and easy American sex.
