January 23, 200818 yr Sukhumvit building set ablaze; no reports of damage Authorities reported a 4 story business structure in Sukhumvit soi 4 was set ablaze earlier this morning prompting fire fighters to the scene. The building was vacant but is surrounded by occupied houses. Residents of the area reported that they heard a large explosion before witnessing the fire and authorities have given the initial theory of a short circuit in the building starting the blaze. City officials have ordered an inspection of the buildings damages and threat to the public as well as a probe into the definite cause of the fire.
