Being Billed For Mobile Phone Downloads

Featured Replies

OK this month's mobile phone bill, alarm bills are ringing.

This is on my husbands phone and is an AIS number which is billed monthly.

For the third consecutive month he has had about 400Bt charged in only downloads. His telephone bill is around normal (and in addition to the 400Bt) but previously (ie last year) he might have had a few SMS on the bill but that is it.

He doesn't download music etc etc and only uses a normal ringtone, so we can't work out where these charges are coming from.

The only thing he has done is open messages which are offering these downloads because he isn't sure where the message is from.

He doesn't reply nor download.

Is there a charge for just opening these messages?

I will be off to check with AIS tomorrow to see what's going on; so maybe others should start checking their bills!
