January 27, 200818 yr Does anyone else have problems making landline calls while online with ADSL? I thought the ADSL architecture allowed regular phone calls to be unaffected, but all I can hear is a kind of white noise sound. In other countries this hasn’t been a problem but in Thailand, I have to have two lines: One for voice and one for ADSL. Anyone any comments? (I am sure this is a very common issue, but I couldn’t find any threads on it when I did a search)
January 27, 200818 yr Maybe your splitter is broken. The phone line from the terminal goes to a small box that has two RC jacks, one feeds your phone, the other feeds the ADSL modem. This little device is responsible for keeping the two separate. Maybe yours doesn't work?
January 27, 200818 yr Maybe he didn't have a Splitter (Microfilter)?! Cost about THB 100.00 and you can find that where you can buy ADSL Modems. Cheers.
January 27, 200818 yr Author Splitter Daffy Ok, thanks everyone. I will re-check my splitter. I just assumed it wasn't possible to speak and surf at the same time in Thailand.
