Hi

On my weekly visit to Big C I just happened to look in the IT section, something I normally avoid as I still cant even put money on my mobile :o

Anyway they were selling translation machines, several different manufacturers but the only name I can remember was called Besta. They are slightly larger than a phone but with infinitely more buttons :D

They can convert English to several languages and visa versa, including Thai & Chinese. I can get by with Thai but I am off to China soon and only know one phrase "Ting Bu Dong" I hear you but I don't understand! that won't get me very far so my questions are .... has anyone any experience with one of the machines? are they any good and can an IT retard possibly hope to work one?

They vary in price from 1500 baht up to 6-7000 in Big C but can cost up to $400 on my google exploring. You get what you pay for but any input appreciated.

TBWG :D
