Can you write the full sentence and/or explain the context more? Even if nobody finds an exact translation of the term in a dictionary or so, the context will give more clues as to what it must be. Found the English translation of ค่าอำนาจจำแนก through Mahasarakham University and Chulalinet sites. meadish_sweetball Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 Some googling turns up results with the word 'discrimination' in brackets following ค่าอำนาจจำแนก in Thai texts. The usage of the word in Thai websites ( for example this one ) follows this explanation in English ( from this site ) : Weighted discrimination indexDiscrimination The discrimination index is a statistic which indicates the extent to which an option has discriminated between the high scorers and low scorers on the test. The index is represented as a fraction and varies between -1.00 and 1.00. Optimally the correct option should have a positive discrimination index of at least .20 and the incorrect options or distracters should have a negative discrimination index. Note: you can only obtain this statistic for dichotomous items (1 or 0, yes or no, true or false, etc.). InteracTest™ has multiple-choice and true or false items which fit this requirement.
