I'm trying to translate something but am stuck with this word. Can anyone offer a good translation?

It has to do wh statistics i believe.it

" separation value" is a mathematical/statistical term , no idea what it means or measures , but it might be related to "ค่าอำนาจจำแนก"

Can you write the full sentence and/or explain the context more? Even if nobody finds an exact translation of the term in a dictionary or so, the context will give more clues as to what it must be.

ค่าอำนาจจำแนก = discrimination or discrimination power (as in mathematics/statistics)

Some googling turns up results with the word 'discrimination' in brackets following ค่าอำนาจจำแนก in Thai texts.

Discrimination

The discrimination index is a statistic which indicates the extent to which an option has discriminated between the high scorers and low scorers on the test.

The index is represented as a fraction and varies between -1.00 and 1.00.

Optimally the correct option should have a positive discrimination index of at least .20 and the incorrect options or distracters should have a negative discrimination index.
