If you want fast paced double peddle bass and angriness I suggest Hatebread, devil driver, fear factory or five fingered death punch. Or just about any "dubstep" song.

If you can get you speakers flat up against their wall it will help as well.

  • It would help if it's not just you complaining. Thais are very tolerant of the noise of others and it may not be enough to bother the other neighbors. Generally, cooking smells bother them more than

Interesting what you find on youTube. Presumably these videos are designed specifically for this task.

Cost of the place has nothing to do with it. This is a problem on the high-end as well.

Agree totally, it's just that the noise has more class.

We live on a (supposedly) "high end" estate and the noise here can be a pain at times, especially the Thai need to rev up the car for 5 minutes before setting off. The less said about some of the brat teenagers here with their un-muffled scooters at all hours, the better.

When I raised these points at a resident's meeting, I was roundly "tutted" at and told that it was "Thai Noise" and as a "Farang", I shouldn't complain about "Thai Noise" (really!!), and these people are the much vaunted "educated high end Thais" everyone seems to love so.

We also rent a small condo near the airport for use when we're travelling.

I stayed there recently and the "noise"; mainly the ambient noise of ordinary people leading ordinary lives - kids playing, people talking, making and eating food and having drinks in the courtyard outside in the evening was a joy in comparison.
