Aerobic Septic System

With all the talk of septic tanks recently I've been considering our options when we build.

Our land is clay and wet (about 1.5m above average river level, came within about 6" of flooding last year) so I suspect that a regular drainfield may be marginal.

The neighbours have an elevated "concrete-ring" system, no way I'm having that so we'll be burying the tank, possibly in a mound to prevent any chance of it flooding.

Anyone tried (or even seen in LoS) aerobic sewage systems with an air blower, these produce an effluent that can be discharged into watercourses although we'll be discharging into a fish pond with overflow to the river. There will be lots of plants in the pond too, to help clean up the water even more. To be honest I don't know why I'm bothering as nobody else seems to, but since we eat the fish and prawns from the river I suppose I want to keep it as clean as it is now :o
