Internet Connected Tv Cameras For Workplace

Featured Replies

I want to set up internet connected TV cameras in my workplace so I can watch things from home (or anywhere with a connection) while I'm away.

Does anybody have any info on this? I'm looking for info on costs, requirements, pros and cons of different systems.

What was the cost of the system and instillation? Have you experienced any problems?

You can get this Avermedia box in Bangkok from THB8000 without a harddisk. Depending on the size of the harddisk, the box records the video from the cameras. You can connect up to 4 cameras. The Avermedia box has 4 standard video inputs, a network port, VGA port and TV out. So you can watch the camera's over the network or on a directly connected TV or monitor. Watching 4 cameras over the network on the highest video quality requires at least 1Mbps constant bandwidth.

Price of the camera depends on the quality - indoor cameras are available from 800THB (poor quality), for an outdoor cameras with good quality it's around 2500.

Old Siam and Ban Mo in Bangkok are good places to find relative cheap cameras.
