'What's all this fuss about?' is a good translation - perhaps even with a "Gosh!" or similarly used word in front.

just to add...

อะไรกันนนักกันหนา has the meaning discussed above if used on it's own. it expresses a bit of exasperation/frustration. 'what the hel_l is the big deal?' is another possible translation.

you might also see it used in a sentence, such as:

จะโกรธอะไรกันนักกันหนา

why go and get so angry about it?

จะเที่ยวอะไรกันนักกันหนา

why on earth do you have to go out so much? (ie. try staying at home for once)

in these sentences, it still has the exasperated tone.
