New homes built 6 months have developed many problems that need rectifying, still under guarantee, but the builder refuses to come and do the repairs ranging from electric shocks, leaking roofs, wall cracking, faulty toilets showers and plumbing. The builder has been notified in writing by several residents 3 months ago, but refuses to do anything. What can we do. Can we tell him we will resolve the issues by using a contractor and billing the builder, once we tell him of our intentions and he still refuses or straight to litigation?

Call 1166. and explain the problem (probably best to get a local to do it, if your Thai is not up to scratch) They are a consumer protection watchdog and should be able to help in the case.

Good luck.
