Finding A School In Phuket

I have a 15 year old step daughter who is living in Loei with her aunt and goes to a rural school in the northeast. We want her to move to Phuket to live with us and go to school here. We found a good private school in Phuket Town near our house. The school is called Dowroong Wittaya School and we are very happy with this choice. The school administration has been asking for papers (transcripts) to be sent from Loei to show what courses that my stepdaughter was doing. It seems that Dowroong school is not happy with the courses that were offered at this rural school in Loei and have refused my stepdaughter the oportunity to take the entrance exam even though she has the best grades in her school with nearly perfect exam results. I would like to know if any one elso out there has had a problem like this dealing with Thai school administration and if there are any other good schools in Phuket to try to get into. There is not much time left and this school waited until the last minute to give us this bad news.

The current school year is almost over so I guess you are talking about getting her registered for the next school term.

My little guy has only just started school so I can't give you much advice about what is good for a 15 year old. Kajonkiet School and Darasamut School are both good private schools but I don't think either of them go beyond the 15 year age group.

There are two other well regarded schools in Phuket Town you could check out. Satree School on on Damrong Road and Phuket Wittayalai School on Nakhon Road.
