Maybe this is a stupid question. But would a uk playstation 2 work with a thai television ?

Yes, I believe it would... of course if it's not modded you can't play any games you buy in Thailand.

It is nt modded, i don't know what that is to be honest.

It is a playstation i have had in my house in england for a few years but never really use.

I was thinking of giving it to some of the kids my girlfriend knows in thailand next time i go there

Yes, brought mine from the UK and it works fine. Haven't tried Thai games, but it plays the hooky DVD's no problem.

Uk system should be compatible in Thailand/Malaysia.

The PS2 can be modified at shops that sells PS2 in Bangkok or Pattaya. I was quoted 1000Baht for the cost.

It involved soldering some chips into the board.

Can you use a Thai PS2 in the UK, or will it need a different transformer?
