February 29, 200818 yr Gentleman, Could someone please give advice as to the best way to buy a house in Thailand. My situation is I have a Thai Wife (Married in the UK) and two children. One born in Thailand and one born in the UK. What I am thinking of doing is buying in my Wifes name and doing a USUFRUCT agreement. Can we then make a will that if my Wife were to die (God forbid) she could leave the property to our Children And how would that affect the USUFRUCT? I know that if it is left to me I have something like a year to sell and I would prefer the property goes to our kids. It's more likely I will be kicking up the daises before my Wife. I'm 42 and she's 27 but we are trying to cover all bases. I know we can also buy in our Sons name but we couldn't sell if we wanted to upgrade to a bigger property!
