Pieman
Does anyone have any info re Chong Chom crossing? Particularly, is it open for visa on entry when going into Cambodia?
KHUNDAN
I use Chong Chom alot and yes they will issue you a Cambodian Visa upon entry. The only difference between Chong Cho and Poipet is that Chong Chom doesn't have anything there except for Casino's and a small market unless you go over the hill for about 2 kms then they have the bar girl scene. Also at Chong Chom the Cambodian Immigration charge you alittle bit extra for crossing the border...
Pieman
Thanks KhunDan, any guess as to which is the best (Poipet or Chong Chom) for onward travel to Pnom Penh?

Khun Dan, saved me typing it myself, exactly.... The big advantage of OSmach or Chom Chon is it is alot faster. You can park your car, and be in the duty free shop in less than 15 minutes. You cannot drive your car through, and I will never understand why the Casino has Bangkok registered cars.... In my opinion unless you have Khmer family and know people, Poipet would be better for going to PP. I have never seen any transport to PP from Osmach. Also if a relative of mine comes to work on the Cambodia side, he will stamp your passport for 300b, no visa. He doesn't work weekends and Tuesdays......
