Wireless In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm moving to Bangkok in November, and wondering what the wireless/wiFi situation is. Are there any free spots? how common is it?

thanx

It's fairly common, but not many are free - you usually have to buy an access card or a coffee etc, I think there are some subscription services too but they are not well advertised (at least, not in English). Anyway here's a list of hotspots but there would be heaps of others.

You can get GPRS data plans for access via your mobile at quite reasonable rates and with quite good coverage. The catch is is ###### slow and sometimes it just doesn't work.
