PattayaParent
We will have a lot of vendor reps coming over to commission various parts of our plant and I want to find out what sort of visas would be required for them. Some will only be here for a few weeks, some a few months, some several months (6-8). Now their companies don't have regisetered offices in Thailand so can they come in and work on a Non-imm B with extensions / renewals for as long as they need to be here? Or will they need to get work permits? (Obviously not an option for the shorter term visitors so what is their legal status without a WP? Thanks. Maestro
If a technician comes to work in your plant for a maximum of two weeks you can get a “necessary and urgent Work Acknowledgment” for him. See this post by Sunbelt. I believe the others will need a full work permit. Perhaps Sunbelt will come and post here how this can be done, considering that it won’t be your company paying the visiting technicians. -- Maestro
