Horeca Or Horror Ka

Featured Replies

Dear All,

I wonder if anyone has any Horror! stories about this company.

They overcharge, send false invoices and stuff you with items you do not order.

We don't moan on thai visa, but its getting ridiculous!

Who owns this company? How do we get to speak to them?

We would like things to be better. Is it Rudi?

We would like to improve things for all.

Regards

Horeca!

Horeca!

That's just a foodservice industry term. It means HOtel-REstaurant-CAfe. Lots of companies have a HORECA devisions, Macro in Thailand springs to mind.

Horeca founded by Rudy van den Berg and Patinya Srisuk.

Located in Chiang Mai.

Quite right! Rudy is from Holland and came here wishing to establish THE top end local wholesaling business for the hotel, restaurant and cafe trade. Horeca may be a generic term in Holland but I have never seen it elsewhere, certainly not here in Thailand.

He landed, brimming with investment, and became known as a very serious, very strong minded businessman. His wife followed later and is a member (apparently sincere) of a Christian church here.

While I have to say that this is the first criticism I have heard of their business practices I am not, for some reason, surprised. My feeling (and it is only that) is that the best bet would be to put on your tin hat and flak jacket and march into the man's office. If you have invoices, his address and tel number must be displayed upon them by law of course..............!

Still do not know the company name :o

I am wondering that myself. I suggest the OP takes the good advice from Flatoutthroughthefog and takes copies (don't take originals they have a habit of being lost/mislaid even against the best of intentions) and speak directly with the man himself. Many times these misunderstandings can be rectified quickly and happily for both sides. Companies rely heavily on repeat trade and if you are a customer who will not return then he has lost a long term investment. No one can afford that, especially in a market such as Thailand.

Please take your grievance direct and then if you wish report back with the results.

regards

CB

Sorry to hear about that.

I am an old customer of Horeca, buy a lot, and never, never had any complains.

A I live upcountry, they even deliver for me in CR to they customer's restaurant.

I also pick it up on my occasional trips to CM.

Always find good deals and good service.

Error is human, as it has been said, check straight with them!

PS: I doubt they will have grown that much and stay in business if they operations had been fishy..
